It's easy to say that we keep returning to the Sunset House because of "the diving" (which is of course fabulous) or "the house reef" (some of the best diving in the Caribbean) but it's much more than that. We've been returning almost every year for the past 25 years... that says it all don't you think? If you can imagine "the perfect Caribbean vacation" what would it look like? Palm Trees, Amazing Diving, Large Comfortable Rooms, A Fantastic Variety of Food, Shopping, Pool, and it's all in one location! Now throw in a staff of people that offer that famous Caymanian Hospitality and you will never want to go home! The Sunset House doesn't feel like a resort.. it feels like a big guest house.

Sunset House is a great place. My large group is too big for boutique hotels and we get lost in the shuffle at large resorts. Sunset House is the perfect size to host my group of 60+ divers. The office staff lead by Emma and Kim are efficient and responsive to our requests. Mike, Lee and the rest of the dive staff are willing to do anything that we need including moving the boats to the other side of the island when necessary to ensure a great dive. The included breakfast is made to order every morning and My Bar is waiting to serve lunch when we return from a dive. George and Luis do a great job with the restaurant and bar. The food is some of the best food we find on island. The available shore diving from the property is an added benefit for us. We love Sunset House and are looking forward to many more visits for awesome diving.

Sunset House was one of the first dive resorts I visited over 30 years ago. It has remained one of my favorite destinations. It is always friendly and welcoming. It is perfectly situated for divers. The resort is comfortable and relaxing. The location is perfect, and the shore diving is spectacular. The dive shop is among the best. The boats are comfortable, and the staff is spectacular. We take groups back to Sunset House on a regular basis and have always had a great time. When my customers ask where is a great place to go diving, I always recommend Sunset House knowing full well they will take excellent care of my clients. Returning to Sunset House is like going back to visit family and know you will be welcomed and taken care of.

Sunset House has it all! We really enjoy seeing the flights pass overhead coming onto the island. We love the boat diving that Sunset House has to offer. We really like the diving 24 hour a day with a dive buddy, of course. And along with diving comes eating. The restaurant offers a variety of food, as well as outside patio bar and is 5 star quality. You can start your dive from the sea pool and just drift out onto the reef and explore the statue or visit the wall. You can also start your dive with a giant stride just a few steps away from the dive shop. The accommodations are beautiful inside and out. The grounds are well maintained and we enjoy the fresh water pool as well. From the resort is just a short walk into town for those who are non divers, shoppers or just like to explore. Hotel, restaurant and dive staff are very accommodating and always pleasant and fun to be around. You will not regret your choice to stay here. Sunset House truly has it all!

Over the past couple of years Adventure Divers’ and Travel have had the pleasure of taking dive groups to Sunset House Resort for Divers in Grand Cayman. As a very active dive shop and travel agency we typically lead dive groups on four trips a year. We are always under pressure to provide a great experience above and below the water. Researching dive resorts, finding that perfect place, takes a lot of time and energy but when you find it, it is so worth it. This is how we feel about Sunset House Resort and the Dive Centre. Emma in Sales & Marketing and Kim in Group Reservations are lovely to work with and very accommodating. Good communication with the resort helps to eliminate problems before arrival ensuring a successful dive vacation for our customers.
The location of the resort is perfect, right along the waters edge with easy shore diving on the house reef. As well as the daily boat dives. The lockers for gear are very convenient and access to tanks for the shore dives were never a problem. You can day and night dive which all of our divers took full advantage of. The beautiful mermaid bronze statue its a highlight of the shore diving. The great thing about having a choice is if you don’t feel like going out on the boat you still can get in plenty of shore diving and you don’t have to drive anywhere. All of the hotel staff were very helpful and the dive crew very knowledgeable, safety conscious and fun to dive with. Very spacious dive boat and as a group we had a boat all to ourselves. The dive sites were great lots of marine life, we loved the Kittiwake Wreck and feeding / diving with the sting rays.
The facilities of the resort were wonderful. The food was awesome with a great selection of Caribbean, American and Indian cuisine. There are plenty of restaurants with-in walking distance from the resort but we choose to dine at the hotel everyday as the food and atmosphere were ideal and the prices very reasonable. We enjoyed the local vibe at “My Bar” it was nice to sit at the waters edge having some cold beverages after a fun day of diving.
Sunset House Resort is one of those gems in the diving industry, we highly recommend it. Thank you again to everyone at Sunset House Resort for making our past trips so enjoyable, our divers loved everything above and below the water. We are so looking forward to our next trip now scheduled for November 2021.

Ours is a family and friends group of seasoned dive travelers that has called Sunset House ‘home’ for a week every year for the past 7 years. The group will vary in size and members from year to year, but the majority have made more than one repeat trip over the years. As they venture out and travel other places, they inevitably return with the same opinion. Sunset House is tough to beat! Compared to other destinations it is easy to get to from the USA. The airport transfers, check in at Sunset House, bags to the room, check in at the dive shop, first shore dive, first cold beer at My Bar while the sun goes down happens smoothly and seamlessly on the first day. The rest of the week is easy, breakfast, boat dives, lunch at My Bar, shore dives, Sunset…..This resort has it all, and all in one place. The staff obviously knows they have a very special destination resort, and everyone goes that extra mile to make sure it stays that way. They never disappoint. We hope to continue our traditional yearly visits for many years to come.
